You can have all of your child car restraints, harnesses and booster seats checked for safety and correct fit.
Children's car restraints will be inspected by RTA Authorised Restraint Fitters between 9am and 3.30pm on the dates below.

- Saturday 6 November 2010.

New Child Restraint Laws Commencing 1 March 2010
The new child restraint rules will require all children under 7 years of age be secured in an approved child restraint or booster seat when travelling in a vehicle.
More specifically:
Children up to 6 months of age must be restrained in an approved rearward facing child restraint.
Children from 6 months to under 4 years of age must be restrained in an approved rearward or forward facing child restraint.
Children from 4 years to under 7 years of age must be restrained in an approved forward facing child restraint or booster seat.
Children under 4 years of age must not be in the front row of a vehicle that has two or more rows.
Children from 4 years to under 7 years of age can sit in the front row of a vehicle with two or more rows only when all other back seats are occupied by children younger than 7 years of age in approved child restraints or booster seat.
